"Mentally, I'm ready for school to be over," says Cindy Agoncillo, senior graphic design major. Like many others, Agoncillo admits that she has senioritis. Dr. Winston Seegobin has been a part of Messiah College's community for thirteen years. He works as a professor of psychology and a counselor for students of color, international, and third culture kids (TCKs). Seegobin's career at Messiah is coming to a close, however. (0) comments

The class of 2009 isn't quite the centennial class, but it saw some important events in the life of Messiah College. It was the first whole class to take Created and Called for Community (some, but not all, of the class of '08 piloted the course). It saw the innaguration of Kim Phipps, Messiah College's first female president. (0) comments
Over spring break, eight Messiah students, known as the "Mess Team," embarked on a mission trip to Northern Ireland. This trip, initially started by students, has been an annual undertaking of the Agape Center for nearly a decade. This year, students partnered with the Church of the Nazarene, located in Lurgan, approximately one hour outside of Belfast, Northern Ireland. (0) comments
"You can't believe everything you read in the newspaper," says Dwayne Keiffer, assistant director in the Career Center. While the condition of the economy has made it more difficult to find jobs in some areas, it has not made it impossible, Keiffer says. From 7pm to 7am April 17th and 18th the Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) chapter at Messiah College hosted its third annual Relay For Life in association with the American Cancer Society. Brittany Kappauf, Chair of Messiah College's CAC chapter, says that there were 315 participants, 21 committee members, 26 survivors with their 15 guests attended the event this year. (0) comments

During the summer of 2009, Messiah College will conclude nearly two years of engagement in a branding initiative. Carla Gross, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, says the branding initiative is mostly about strengthening Messiah College's current ability to meet their enrollment goal. (0) comments
